FOR THE AUDITIONING ACTOR

Add-On Coaching
with Jasmine

ABOUT

Jasmine Ashanti, originally from PG County Maryland, received a BA in theatre from Temple University and an MFA in acting from UC-San Diego. She taught intro to acting and public speaking at UCSD and California Lutheran University for 4-years and began coaching in 2018. She’s helped clients book movies and TV including "Grey's Anatomy", "Roadhouse", "A Thousand and One", and "Good Trouble". Her approach is to bring out of the actor what’s already in them, while paying attention to the style and tone of what they are auditioning for. Her theatre credits include "Little Children Dream of God" (UCSD), "In the Red and Brown Water" (UCSD), "Sideways" (La Jolla Playhouse), "Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea" (Skylight Theater), "The Last Tiger in Haiti" (a co-production with Berkeley Repertory and La Jolla Playhouse), "Ready Steady Yeti Go" (Rogue Machine Theatre), and "Stew" (Pasadena Playhouse). She was a part of the ABC Discovers Talent Showcase 2020 and her television credits include “Shameless,” “The Good Doctor,” “Lucifer,” “Black-Ish,” Netflix’s “On My Block,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” Hulu’s “Wu-Tang: An American Saga,” “East New York,” Amazon Prime's "Upload.” Currently she is recurring on the Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning show “Hacks” on HBO Max, as well as the upcoming new season of Netflix’s “Beef.”
