About the event

We're so excited to bring "Study Hall" back to Ego Lab Studio!


This session is all about the business of being a working artist. We’ll begin with a panel of artists discussing entrepreneurship, business operations, and income in our industry. Sharing real experiences and practical strategies for sustaining a self-employed career.


Featuring:


Tania Russell — Make-up Artist of 30+ years, educator, and founder of the "Makeup To Go Blog" a pro artist resource platform.


Terri Apanasevicz   Celebrity Hair and Make-up Artist and inventor of the Tablette Palette , an on-set kit essential.


Bianca Appice — Emmy-nominated, Guild Award winning Make-up Artist and co-owner of FantomX Prosthetics.


Claire Doyle — Local 706 Craft Education President and Make-up Artist


Then, Local 706 Make-up Artist and money coach, Prell Charusanti, presents The Creative’s Money Reset — making money simple with practical advice (minus the finance bros).


We’ll close out the evening with Garage Gifting*!

Created by Local 706 Make-Up Artist, Shannon Trigger , STUDY HALL is a chance to connect with the community and gain perspectives from different corners of the industry. Whether you’re a working professional, freelancer, student or just starting out in the beauty industry, you’re welcome here!


Garage Gifting*:

Garage Gifting is a fun way to pass along beauty products, tools, and accessories you’re no longer using so they can find a new home. Think of it like a community swap! 


When you arrive, you’ll place the products you're gifting on the “Garage Gifting” table and at the end of the event everyone will be invited to pick out products to take home based on the number you draw at random! (Zero pressure to bring anything, you’re welcome to join in regardless!)


Gifting Guidelines: 

  • Products can be open; must be mostly full/not expired

  • Categories include: Hair (tools/product), Makeup, Skincare, Organization, Bags, Tools

  • Space will be limited but we will do this again! 

  • Please limit your gifting to 25 items max :)


Parking:

+Our parking lot is available first come first serve

+Free Street Parking on Ellis Ave

+Local Garage (Rates may apply)

+Ride-share is always encouraged :) 


Cancellations:

We understand life/work happens. For up to 24-hours notice you have the option to cancel with a full refund. We do not refund for cancellations within 24-hours of the event.
